For both a child and the parents. Vienne has had a tough go of it the first week. Crying and clinging to us and trying to keep us from leaving her. After one particular difficult bout last week I was driving back to work. The route takes me through the Stephens College campus.
As I drove by I glimpsed a scene unfolding in one of the parking lots.
A family standing next to a van. Hugging. Saying goodbye.
I thought to myself, it will never get easy.
Originatliy is Obvious Comments Off
I read a quote this morning from Arthur Koestler.
“The more original a discovery, the more obvious it seems afterwards.”
After thinking about it for a moment it occurred to me that the same is true for many of my favorite photo stories and pictures. The more original the story, the more obvious it seems afterwards. I guess the trick is to learn to not ignore the obvious. When developing story ideas it’s sometimes so easy to just write off the obvious.
