Yesterday I was asked twice for my recommendation for what easy to use wireless mic option for recording to an iPhone. Here’s what I’ve been testing and recommending. Here it is…

Rode Wireless Go $299

Rode Lapel Mic Attachment $79
You’ll need this cord for your iPhone (TRS to TRRS) $15

Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter $9

It’s not a cheap setup by far. But It seems to work great and you can find a number of external mics to plug into it.
One cool thing I just did today with it was to use this little wireless unit as a wireless in-ear-monitor. I plugged the transmitter into my computer and then I plugged headphones into the receiver. I was on a 2 hour and 30-minute Zoom call and didn’t miss a thing when I got up to get some coffee.
